Overview

About 8 miles with 1100 feet of ascent,  two or three stiles, several plank bridges over ditches, some brambles and nettles.  There will be some great views - weather permitting!

Starting from Elmley Castle, we walk through meadows and fields to Great Comberton, before climbing to the summit of Bredon Hill, with the Banbury Stone and Tower. (There is a welcome level traverse through pasture about half-way up.) From here we continue along the escarpment before descending through woodland and meadows.

'In summertime on Bredon, the bells they sound so clear

Round both the shires they ring them, in steeples far and near.'
