We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We start with a short walk around Empingham before heading north to Horn Mill and Fort Henry. We then head west towards Exton and pick up a steep sided river valley in an easterly direction back to Horn Mill and then south back to Empingham.
Walking on footpaths but also on a few quiet lanes so caution should be exercised at all times.
There will be the usual stops for coffee and then for lunch.
Some fields contain livestock so dogs must be on leads and under close control at all times.
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the morning to check the walk is still on.
