Overview

Meet at the RSPB Car Park at Fen Drayton Lakes ready for a 10 am start.

There will be both a morning and afternoon walk, each of around 5.5 miles.

The morning walk will be around Fen Drayton Lakes and then along the River Great Ouse, ending up in St Ives.

The official lunch stop will be a picnic at Holt Island Nature Reserve, so don't forget your packed lunch. For those wanting something more substantial there are a range of cafes in St Ives, but time will be limited.

Those only wanting to walk in the morning can take longer over lunch before returning to Fen Drayton Lakes on the guided busway. Buses run approximately every 10 minutes.

The afternoon walk will take us up to Houghton Mill before returning to St Ives via Hemingford Grey. We then return to the starting point using the guided busway so don't forget your bus pass if you have one.
