Starting at Kemsing village car park (behind St Ediths Hall), meet at 10.20am ready for 10:30am start. Car park has newly refurbished public toilets.
We head north, through the Church yard and Recreational field, up to the North Downs. We will be walking straight up Kemsing Green Hill, which is a steep climb. We will stop at the viewing platform with local map and then walk around to The Cross at 650ft. We will admire the stunning views of the lovely surrounding area.
We will walk west through the beautiful Kemsing Nature Reserve and Rowdow Woods and walk towards Woodlands Church. We walk up to Cotmans Ash where we can have lunch at the Rising Sun public house, approximately halfway. The Landlady has kindly agreed to allow us to have our pack lunches in the garden or inside the pub, if we buy drinks (food not available).
After lunch, we pick up the North Downs Way for a few miles, walk through St Cleres Estate using the Bridleway to Heaverham. We walk through the open fields and woods to the charming hamlet of Noah’s Ark and return to Kemsing village car park.
Optional drinks at local village pub, The Bell.
Dogs are welcome, sheep in fields and walking short distance on a few roads. Route includes stiles and kissing gates, may need to lift dog over some stiles.
