This circular walk explores a beautiful stretch of the Thames Valley on the South Oxfordshire/Berkshire border. Beginning in Pangbourne, we follow the Thames west to the village of Streatley, cross over the bridge into Oxfordshire, and stop for lunch on the river bank, in the picturesque village of Goring. We then head east through the oak woods at the base of the Chilterns, before heading south to finish back in Pangbourne.
Bring a packed lunch. Optional pub stop at the end.
Please note that, with the exception of service animals, dogs are not permitted on this walk. This is because we will be crossing fields that may feature cows with young calves, which may be distressed by dogs' presence and thereby create a danger for other walkers.
