Overview

Start time: 19:00 (Estimated finish time: 20:30)
Leisurely 4 miles / 6.5 km
Led by Beth S: 07956 242703

We're continuing this year's series of summer evening walks starting and ending from a pub!

Starting from the centre of Great Missenden, we'll head along the River Misbourne and through the picturesque Abbey Park, before following the South Bucks Way towards Little Missenden. If the weather's nice we'll stop for a drink during the walk at The Full Moon pub, if its a bit dodgy we'll save the pub stop for the end of the walk instead.

After Little Kingshill we'll head through woodland including Angling Spring Wood, said to be inspiration for some of Roald Dahl's best stories. If we haven't already stopped for a pub stop there will be the option to go for a post-walk drink at The Cross Keys instead.

Note that if we do stop en-route the finish time will be a little later.

The Marylebone - Aylesbury train stops at Great Missenden station, which is a short 5 min walk from the meeting start point.

Free parking is available after 6pm at the Link Road car park, where we're meeting. If full, Buryfield Car Park across the road will also be free at this time.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a lead at all times and are the responsibility of the owner.
