We are the Rutland Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
We are going clockwise round the peninsula mostly on tracks with some road walking.
This is a stile free walk
Dogs are accepted on this walk, although they must be on leads at all times.
A very scenic and well landscaped walk with many views and vistas of Rutland Water. We pass through pleasant small woods too. There are many species of wild fowl to be seen, and the impressive Old Hall perched on the water’s edge towards the end of the walk
Please consider car sharing arrangements with other members to reduce the pressure on parking spots at the start of the walk.
In the event of severe weather, please contact the leader on the day of the walk to check the walk is still on.
Please park with care alongside the left hand tarmac and part grass edged footpath in the village
