Overview

From Winsley, we go via the attractive villages of Limpley Stoke, Freshford, Sharpstone, Avoncliff and Turleigh. The wooded slopes of the Avon Valley, described as ‘sylvan and resplendent’, are a constant backdrop. Some walking on quiet lanes, an unavoidable stretch of the B3108 on Winsley Hill (there is a pavement) and one 250 feet ascent back uphill to Winsley. Bring a snack.
