Overview

The whole route is 6.1 miles with 633 ft total elevation. The start point is the Mill Wheel pub. 31 Ticknall Road, Hartshorne DE11 7AS. What3words gentle.froze.sobs.

The halfway point is St Wystans Church, 222 Bretby Lane, Bretby DE15 0QR. What3words. bucked.rated.feed.

The  church is up a short track at the green.  If people are coming from the cemetery on Geary Lane they MUST turn RIGHT at the T junction onto Mount Road. The road bends to the left 100 yards beyond the T-junction and the village green is another 100 yards further on from the bend on the left, with the church up a drive. There is a small car park at the church. 

The route back from the church to the pub is 3.15 miles with 255 feet elevation and is not a strenuous walk.

People can join at the church at about 1130  for  non-hilly 3 miler if they do not want to do the slightly hilly 6 miler. I or someone amongst the walkers will give the 3-milers a lift back to their car/s after the debrief at the pub
