We are the Hike Essex Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting at Halfpenny Pier in Harwich we follow the Essex Way to Manningtree Station. This will be a strenous walk of about 16 miles.
Starting by the sea we cross over to the River Stour and then visit Wrabness and Mistely on the way. Plenty of things of interest on the way.
Keeping a steady 3mph we will stop for a picnic in the Station Garden in Wrabness. There will be an opportunity to grab a drink at Manningtree Station at the end.
Bring good boots as it will be muddy and wet.
