Overview

This walk traces the easternmost ridge of the Black Mountains. We begin by climbing Hay Bluff and along to Black Hill, taking in glorious views (weather permitting) over Herefordshire to our left. We then follow the spine of the hill, which becomes the Cat's Back, leading to the Olchon Valley. A sharp left turn begins our return, which takes us along an old drovers' road and bridleways, past a farm and across a couple of streams. There are a few gates, but happily for some, no stiles!
