Park on Valley road in Hayfield past the houses.

From Bowden Bridge we will climb up to the reservoir dam before turning off across Middle Moor towards Tom Heys Farm. Our route then crosses the edge of Matley Moor, through Knarrs and Higher Plainstead before climbing up to Cown Edge. A descent to Rowarth via Near Slack before a gentler ascent to Weathercotes and a final descent to the Sett Valley Trail.
