Overview

We ascend Darwen Hill by walking between Earnsdale and Sunnyhurst Hey Reservoirs to approach Darwen Tower from behind. We will have an early coffee stop to take in the views across Darwen before joining the Witton Weavers Way (WWW) to circle Darwen Moor. At Whitehall Farm we cross the Moor to pick up WWW to the ruins of Hollinshead Hall where we'll have lunch. Onwards through the plantation to Roddlesworth Reservoirs which we circuit around before climbing to rejoin WWW to Earnsdale Reservoir and back to Sunnyhurst Wood.
