This walk takes in field paths, an old colliery railway and the Ladybrook Valley Interest Trail. There is little meaningful ascent on this route.
Please wear walking boots or strong shoes as some areas are likely to be very muddy.
The route includes two crossings of the A55 dual carriageway - one on a footbridge and one on a road bridge, so this walk may not suit anyone with severe vertigo.
The walk is deliberately scheduled to end after sunset so we can fully experience the Christmas lights on Warwick Drive in Hazel Grove - the residents always put on a show here. Please bring a torch in case darkness begins to descend before we are back in the well lit areas.
