Metrolink based walk

Leader: Mark H (meeting at Walk start)

Meet Point: On the Metrolink platform at Victoria Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the tram, or at the Walk Start at Newhey Metrolink station.

Transport to Walk Start: Any tram to get you to Newhey Metrolink station for the walk start

Suggested Ticket: 1-day anytime travel card for all zones £7.10

Walk Start: Newhey Metrolink Station at 12:30

Waypoints: Haugh Hamlet, Ogden reservoir , Piethorne reservoir, Bluebell Wood, Kitcliff reservoir, Ogden , Huddersfield Rd

Return Services: Any tram from Newhey metrolink station - every 12 minutes.

Extra: Please use the toilet at the station. No toilets at walk start. Toilets en route at Ogden reservoir ranger station (if open). Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).

A pleasant easy walk on paths around reservoirs with very little ascent. We pass through Bluebell Wood where hopefully there will be a wonderful carpet of blue amongst the beech trees.
