Walking route goes via Dunscar Farm & path to Hollowford Road. Then via tracks & paths eventually climbing up to Losehill Farm. Afterwards taking path down to Hope & finally following the path beyond Hope Church back to Castleton. Terrain largely fields & tracks, wet & muddy underfoot in places. Estimated ascent could be about 150 metres. All at a leisurely pace.

We normally stop for a drink after about an hour walking and we stop for lunch at about 12:30 so bring along a hot or cold drink and a packed lunch.

The starting point is on Buxton Road (nr Castleton), where you can park for Free down towards "Treak Cliff" Cavern Entrance. (Down Winnats Pass and left at the Junction at the end of Arthurs Way). Those going direct to the start to please inform the leader in case there are any late changes to the walk.
