Overview

This a circular undulating walk going through some marshland, open fields and woodland. Herstmonceux is a village with many claims to fame, and the walk will reveal some of these! 
There will be wet patches, lots of mud and several stiles.

The walk starts from Herstmonceux Recreation Ground Car Park, Hailsham Road, Herstmonceux. Coming from A271, Hailsham Road. Fiennes Road is on your left, you will then see the sign for the recreation ground, the entrance to the recreation ground is via a narrow lane, immediately opposite the sign. Coming from Herstmonceux. Take the exit at the mini roundabout towards Hailsham. Herstmonceux C of E Primary School is on your left, you will then see the sign for the recreation ground, the entrance is immediately on the left of the sign , via a narrow lane.
