Overview

Starting from the old road railway crossing in Hoghton we cross the parkland of Brindle Lodge then round the hills surrounding Jack Green to reach the railway near to the motorway. Continuing across the fields we reach Higher Walton and the River Darwen. We continue by following the Darwen valley back to the river at Roach Bridge before rounding the fields to Stanley House and on to return to Hoghton.
