Overview

From the car park at Jervaulx Abbey Tea Rooms (please note change of start point) we walk through the parkland to join to Kilgram Lane to cross Kilgram Bridge. We then head up to Thornton Steward for coffee and visit St Oswalds church before walking through Low Park to Ulshaw. After lunch in the churchyard we cross the river again at Cover bridge to follow the Six Dales Way. We enter Jervaulx Park where there will be time to visit the abbey (honesty box) before returning to the tea room.

Easy walking mainly on good tracks with only a couple of stiles.
