We are the Ramblers Northampton. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A lovely circular walk starting in Kingsthorpe, walking through Harlestone Firs to Church and Chapel Brampton. We'll be starting from the car park opposite The Windhover, Brampton Lane, Chapel Brampton. We'll be making our way along the Brampton Valley Way towards Harlestone Firs. From there we'll be heading towards Church Brampton and on to Chapel Brampton before making our way back to The Windhover. We'll be walking on established paths and taking in some lovely scenery. There is some construction work going on connected with the North West Relief road but the paths are clear and this will not adversely affect us.
This walk includes a bit of everything ... the Brampton Valley Way, meadows, fields, woods, a golf course, even a swing across a brook for those feeling so inclined...what's not to enjoy? There are probably some 4-5 stiles to negotiate but nothing too strenuous. There are toilet facilities available at The Windhover before the walk starts but sadly no cafes en route. Refreshments are available at the Windhover after the walk if needed.
