We are the Pocklington Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This stage of the Cleveland Way starts from the high point at Ravenscar and follows the coastal path in a southerly direction to Scarborough. It is a glorious walk with fine coastal views passing Beast Cliff, Hayburn Wyke, Cloughton Wyke, and Scalby Ness before reaching the North Sands and North Bay of Scarborough. As with all coastal walks there are some steep ascents and descents.
The Pocklington Group are walking the Cleveland Way in stages from Helmsley to Filey. A hired coach (charges apply) is being used to take walkers from the meeting point of each walk to the start point of each stage. Pre-booking on the walk is therefore essential and there are limited spaces available.

Meet on Marine Drive, Scarborough (car parking charges apply, £7 for 6 hours) If you are approaching from the south side of Scarborough, pass the harbour on your right and it is approximately one mile round the Castle Headland on Marine Drive. If you are approaching from the north of Scarborough, it is approximately half a mile from reaching the beach road from North Bay (going along Royal Albert Drive and onto Marine Drive) See map of location.
