Overview

Starting with a leisurely stroll along part of the Monmouthshire & Brecon Canal we begin our ascent of Mynydd Llangatwg across fields and up grass/stone tracks before we level off and take in the panoramic views of the Black Mountains. Following a level walk through disused quarries and Graig Y Cilau (National Nature Reserve) we descend via woodland paths and fields.

Moderate - one long gradual climb and a short but steep descent along a stony narrow path. Two stiles.
