Overview

A walk along the Wye Valley Way north until we reach the Herefordshire Trail and then across fields and lanes back to Ross.

The first part of the walk alongside the river is flat, the return journey has some easy short climbs.

From Chepstow at Racecourse Garage / Spar on the A466, take the B4235 towards Usk, then after 12 miles turn left and left again to take A449 dual carriageway towards Monmouth (merges into A40). Carry on to Ross taking the B4260 off at the Wilton roundabout. Car park is ¾ mile on your right.
