A scenic walk, Taking in fabulous views across the Cheshire planes, the hills of the peak district and over to Manchester. Lots of ups and downs to keep us on our toes, and a bit of history too.
We start the walk from Disley Station, making our way into Lyme Park, up to the cage. We exit Lyme Park using West Park Gate. Up to Dale top (Great views on a clear day) past the Bow Stones, over to Dissop Head (more views) taking in the Dipping Stones. Over to Diglee. We then pick up the Grit Stone trail back to Disley Station. which luckily is very near to a local watering hole!!
Parts of this walk are very muddy, there are a few stiles. Although its a moderate walk there are some steep bits. We are rewarded with great country side and beautiful views.
There are no toilets at the start of the walk. We will have time to use the toilets in Lyme Park.
Dogs on a short lead allowed.
