Overview

Walk through woods and fields to Burchett's Green, then a gradual ascent to Keepers Cottage in Ashley Hill Forest. We follow a woodland path for some time then head down through woods to Knowl Hill where we will have our 'Banana break'.  Next, we head for Littlewick Green village, where the famous British composer Ivor Novello lived in the early 20th Century. After walking along a hard Bridleway  surface for some time we turn into Cherry Garden Lane, and head for the Little Thicket. After crossing Cannon Lane, we continue through woods and after rejoining Cannon Lane we then have to cross the busy Bath Road to reach The Thicket. We then walk for some time across the Common land to reach the car park, our start point-
