Maldon to Beeleigh Falls & Heybridge Basin

Meeting time will be 10:50 and the walk will start promptly at 11:00. Latecomers will not be waited for, as it is not fair to the rest of the group

This scenic circular walk starts in Maldon Park and takes us through the heart of Maldon before heading to the picturesque Beeleigh Falls. From there, we follow the riverside path along the Blackwater to Heybridge Basin, a popular spot for walkers and boaters alike. We will stop here for a snack/lunch break before continuing around the basin via scenic countryside trails, completing the loop back to Maldon.

Terrain & Footwear:
The paths are a mix of solid and potentially muddy sections, depending on the weather. Please wear appropriate footwear, and poles may be useful if paths are slippery.

Parking: There are several parking options in Maldon. (https://www.visitmaldon.co.uk/parking/index.php)
Main Car Park: Promenade Park (Entrance: Park Drive, CM9 5JQ).
Pay & Display applies 7 days a week (5 hrs – £8.00, All day – £11.00).

Meeting Point: Rossi Ice Cream Kiosk, Promenade Park, Park Drive, Maldon CM9 5JQ

There will be an optional pub visit after the walk to unwind.
