Overview

The Mardale Horseshoe starts from the south end of Haweswater and takes us up to Gatescarth Pass before climbing top to Harter Fell. The second Wainwright is Mardale Ill Bell, followed by High Street, and Kidsty Pike.

This is a strenuous walk of 9 miles and 3000ft of ascent.
