This 8.5-mile, figure-8 walk starts at Margery Wood National Trust Car Park. We head into Gatton Park via the National Trust centre (which has toilets, but the car park is always full) for a scenic 2.5-mile loop around the park, designed by Capability Brown between 1762 and 1766. From there, we walk back through the car park and over the bridge onto Reigate Hill and loop the top and bottom of the hill.
If the weather is clear, this walk has lovely views. It is relatively steady underfoot, not too muddy, and mostly easy walking, with a few mild climbs.
The meeting point is the National Trust Car Park at Margery Wood, Margery Ln, Tadworth KT20 7EJ. This is a paid car park. It is free to National Trust members.
The payment is via the PayByPhone App: The code is 803455. All-day parking costs £6.
