Area Sunday Short Walk. Distances are generally 4 to 6 miles.

Meeting time & place: 09.35 at Piccadilly station for the 09.45 train to Buxton calling at Middlewood.

Start time & place: after the arrival of the train from Piccadilly, due at 10.12 at Middlewood station

Estimated finish time: no later than 15.00 at Disley station in time for the 15.24 back to Piccadilly.

Difficulty: Easy

Distance – less than 6 miles with climbs up to 100 feet and total ascent of under 300 feet.

Train ticket - return to Disley (though if you hold a GM concessionary card you will only need a single from Disley to Middlewood).

Car Parking - On A6 laybys where the road crosses the Middlewood Way trail between Hazel Grove and High Lane. But if you intend to get a train back from Disley to Middlewood please note that the 15.24 does not stop there - next train to stop from Disley is at 16.23.

Walk Route - To be advised

Note: walkers are advised to check one of the rail websites such as nationalrail or trainline close to the departure time in case of late changes to the running of the train.
