A circular morning walk of 6 miles, starting at the Farmhouse Inn at Monk Street near Thaxted. We are going to walk part of the Harcamlow Way through the Chelmer Valley to Duton Hill and then on to Little Cambridge, before returning via Sibley Green. This walk touches on the route Robert took us on from Little Easton last October yet it explores a more northerly aspect. As ususal for this time of year, please be prepared for mud!
For those staying for a pub lunch at the Farmhouse Inn after the walk, please arrive by 9.45 a.m. to pre-order your lunch before the start of the walk. There will be a special "Walkers Menu" available for us (apparently including smaller, cheaper portions of some pub classics), in addition to the standard menu and the sandwich menu.
