Overview

A circular walk climbing through woodland to reach the open moorland of Garn-wen. We walk along the East side of the ridge with views over Monmouthshire including the Skirrid and Sugar Loaf. Return is via Cwm Lasgarn and Lasgarn Woods where we follow the route of a former mineral tramway past several quarries.
