Overview

From Newnham we go up through fields reaching Dean Hill and on to a viewing point, with panoramic views over the River Severn, Arlingham and beyond. We then follow the forest track down to Soudley Ponds. We then head to Bullo Pill and walk along the river bank, back to the start.

River Car Park, Newnham, Gloucester (free). From Chepstow take the A48 for about 15 miles. As you leave Newnham the River Bank Car Park is on your right as you go around a left bend.
