9 mile circular walk along the Macclesfield Canal into Lyme Park including North Cheshire Way and Gritstone Trail. Some moderate climbs and lovely views on a clear day. Park at Nelson Pitt car park which is a charged for car park.
Total ascent is 1245.95 feet based on OS map. Mainly good paths/tracks with a number of stiles. Early lunch at Lyme Park where there are also toilet facilities.
Based on recce we should be back by 3.30 pm. Please bring a packed lunch and and any dogs on a lead because of sheep. Contact Anne on 07852497490. I can offer lifts from Macclesfield.
