Overview

From the Old Kiln in Nettlebed, we head up hill through woods to Magpies and down through Berrick Trench, taking the bridleway to Kingswood and Pages farm, continuing to Bix Bottom, where we join part of the Chiltern Way to Greys Court and its Tudor splendour. Now following tracks and paths to Witheridge Hill, where we begin our return to Nettlebed through woods, passing Joyce Grove - once home to the Flemming family ( think shaken not stirred ) and the Sue Ryder hospice for many years. This grand Jacobethan house has also been used in several TV series and even stood in for Bletchley park in the Imitation Game.

Please meet by the bus shelter at Nettlebed Common. There is limited parking around the green, so park considerately in the village. Some places may be available at the school but this is also used by church goers on the third Sunday of the month. As a result, car sharing would be beneficial if possible.
