This is a lovely ramble across the eastern side of Dartmoor. None of the tors are challenging. We cross Bonehill Down first westwards to Bonehill Rocks and then south to Top and Pit Tors. From Hemsworthy Gate we take Saddle Tor and Haytor Rocks continuing north to Swallacombe Rocks and Black Hill. Here we find the tramway and a lovely valley passing Greator Rocks and Hound Tor back to Swallerton Gate.
This is a walk following mainly well-worn tracks and the odd stretch of minor road.
