Overview

A brilliant and bracing walk on typical Dartmoor.  Starting at Ringmoor Cottage Carpark (free), we head down to Meavy, walking up through Meavy woods to Burrator where we will have a coffee break on the water's edge. We then walk along the wooded Lakeside path, then make our way up Sheeps Tor, great views over Burrator Reservoir.  After lunch we will be walking past the Scout hut to Ditsworthy Warren House, a derelict icon, setting for Steven Spielberg's film 'The War Horse'. Crossing Gutter Tor we make our way back to Ringmoor CP.

Toilets at Burrator.

Bring coffee, snack, lunch and something to sit on.
