From the seaside Village without any Sea (Parkgate) we head north along the Wirral way and the beached of the Dee estuary towards the small hamlet of Caldy, where the village centre remains unchanged for over 100 years (well not quite unchanged!), we head over Caldy Hill to Thurstaston common and Royden Park once home to Ernst Royden, and his former home Hill Bark House, which was relocated from the otherside of the Wirral in 1921. We then take the option of climbing Thurstaston Hill (91m), with its extensive views, due to the mostly flat terrain of the Wirral. We then head through the Dungeon, and back along the Wirral way to Parkgate in time for Ice Cream.
