From Postbridge we’ll walk alongside Lakehead Hill where you might be able to make out hut circles, a cist and a stone row before heading up to the top of Bellever Tor. We’ll then set off across the moor to Laughtor Man Standing Stone before returning to Bellever Forest. A varied walk with forestry, river, open moorland, the top of a tor and the chance of views in clear weather. And a bit of ancient history thrown in too.
Mainly tracks and paths with mud in some places. A ladder stile. Dogs on leads around livestock. Moorland section is exposed and will feel cold in windy weather.

Forestry car park (free) on opposite side of road to Postbridge Visitor Centre. Coming from the Princetown direction it is on the right hand side of the road before the left turn into the visitor centre.
