Please note that this is the extra walk that was originally planned for 10th July, but has now had to be postponed due to weather and ground conditions. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
If you are a Ramblers member, please bring your membership card. You MUST text or ring the leader to BOOK a place. You should not join the walk unless you have received a verbal CONFIRMATION or a TEXT.
Meet at midday at Pewsey Wharf for lunch at The Waterfront Bar and Bistro (£2 for parking).
After lunch we walk along the Kennet & Avon Canal to Jones Mill, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust reserve. We explore the reserve and River Avon (Salisbury) then return along the canal. Butterflies, dragonflies, wild flowers and maybe a Kingfisher.
Booking for this walk is essential as a large party will need booking at the Bistro.
Car sharing may be possible from Corsham, Chippenham, Calne. Please text Judy to book and let her know if you can give a lift, car share or need a lift and where you are.
