Overview

Starting from The Ram in Ibstock, Mandy takes the walk over open countryside till it reaches the site of the new Aldi Distribution Centre. From there she has discovered the Battram Conservation Line where the walk will continue before returning to Ibstock and refreshments at the Lamb.

From Ibstock the walk goes to the new Aldi Distribution Centre in Nailstone, one of three they have in the area. The 1.3 million sq ft facility is being built on a former coal mining site. It has cost £64 million to build. The walk then follows the Battram Conservation Line, the former Nailstone Colliery railway before returning to Ibstock.
