Overview

A walk to the Memorial for the Canadian Spitfire Pilot that crashed on Caerphilly Common on 7th November 1941, followed by a walk on a section of the Cambrian Way to The Warren Woods. A short ascent to the summit trig point (271m) of Caerphilly Common, we then circle round to the memorial before heading South on the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway to join the Cambrian Way. Heading West, passing through Ridgeway Golf Club to reach Blaen-nofydd and on through The Warren Woods and Wern Ddu – Coed y Werin nature reserve to ascend back to the start.
