Lay by on the A468 opposite Lower Machen facing towards Caerphilly. Not in the bus bay which is quite close by. If coming from Caerphilly, the safest way to access the layby is to turn left into Lower Machen at junction to Draethen, drive through the village and at junction back onto A468, turn right to head back towards Caerphilly, then turn into the layby.
