Overview

Celebrate the New Year with a refreshing walk to Penarth cliffs and Cosmeston Countryside Park, developed after the quarries, which provided limestone for the cement works until 1970 and then used for landfill until 1978.  Excavations unearthed the now reconstructed Medieval village - free to wander through!

Starts from Penarth Rail station 10.05.  Train from Cardiff Central 09.49.

Walk Leader will join the train from Heath HL 09.39.

Check travel details with Walk Leader nearer the day.

Walkers need to carry In Case of Emergency information – this might be on a card, key fob or on their smartphone.
