This is a lovely, easy going walk starting from Ripon Cathedral, through lovely countryside and the Fountains Abbey estate.
We will meet outside Ripon Cathedral and walk out of the town by following the river. We will walk through woodland and along decent tracks until we reach the Fountains Abbey estate and the picturesque seven bridges valley. After this we will walk through farmland which is likely to be quite muddy so boots are recommended. We will then reach the Visitors Centre where we will stop to make use of the toilets - lunch will be somewhere in the Fountains Abbey estate - either by the lake or in the deer park.
We spend time walking through the deer park 🦌 taking time to explore the church before reaching Studley Roger. The final stretch of the walk is along paths back into the town of Ripon.

🚻 Toilets are available at the start of the walk, outside Ripon Cathedral and half way around the walk at Fountains Abbey Visitors Centre
🐶 Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead at all times
🍺 After the walk we will go for refreshments in a local pub or café
🚌 Transdev 36 bus from Leeds (08:40) and Harrogate (09:45), arrives Ripon bus station at 10:15 – regular return buses through the afternoon
