A 13 mile circular walk from Wetherby through lovely countryside, incorporating great views and Spofforth Castle.
We start from Linton Road car park following the old railway line to Spofforth, where we can spend a few minutes exploring the ruins of Spofforth Castle. We then continue through Spofforth Golf Course and along the edge of Lodge Wood. With an incline we carry onwards along a gravel road to Kirkby Overblow where we will stop for lunch. We then head south to Sicklinghall capturing views over to Otley and if clear the White Horse at Kilburn. We then follow the footpath through Stockeld Park, before joining the old railway line back to Wetherby.

🚌 Transdev X99 bus from Leeds bus station at 09:00, which stops by the car park on its way into Wetherby
🚻 There are no toilets on the walk, the nearest toilets are in the town centre or at Morrisons (about 15 minutes walk from the car park)
🐶 Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times. This walk passes through farmland that is likely to contain livestock, please bear this in mind if you are planning to bring your dog
🥾 It is also likely to be muddy in places, please wear appropriate clothing and boots
🥪 You will need to bring a packed lunch
🍺 After the walk, we can head into Wetherby to a local pub for a drink
