The walk heads out of Ripon through the cathedral grounds and then out along the River Skell until we meet the River Ure. We then follow the banks of the River Ure until we reach the Ripon City Wetlands and pass through this to the canal. Once on the canal, where we pick up the Ripon Rowel, we follow it along to Bishop Monkton. From Bishop Monkton we head across some fields back to the canal and then follow the canal back into Ripon.
