Ryedale - Lordstones

This walk starts at the Car Park at Lordstones Country Park. First we climb up Carlton Bank and follow the Cleveland Way over Live Moor and down to the Road. We then follow a quiet road (Only to a few farms) on Sunny Side and Sparrow Hall (We hoped to leave this road and follow a couple of paths but one was not a right of way, and the other we had to go through a field of cows and then fight the undergrowth). At the end of the road (Scugdale Hall) we climb up to the bottom of Barkers Cragg, we then drop down between the two plantations (This is another change to the original route) down Mill Lane to Raisdale Mill. We then follow another quiet road via Stone Intake up to Cold Moor Cote and then take the cycle route past Beak Hills to the bottom of Kirby Bank.  We then climb up Kirby Bank (or alternatively round Kirby Bank) back to Lordstones.
