Overview

ASH DALE & RICCAL DALE

 

The route follows the Tabular Hills Walk N from Helmsley up Ash Dale into Carlton, then down into Riccal Dale. We follow the bridleway S down the dale and footpath back to Helmsley.

The walk is on forest tracks and paths that will be muddy and wet in places. Boots are essential and walking poles useful. Bring warm and waterproof clothing suitable for a winter walk.
