An 8-9 mile circular walk from Kirkham Abbey Priory . The walk will pass through the villages of Crambe, Howsham, Westow and Firby and includes Howsham Mill. The terrain is a mixture of open fields, woodland and some road walking. It is most likely to be wet underfoot so you may find it useful to have walking poles. Very muddy in parts. Caroline has also added that there is one wire fence to step over with no stile and there are a couple of areas on the route that are very overgrown ( Caroline has messaged NYCC re these two areas which need cutting back, but action may take a while so be prepared) so recommends walking poles
