Overview

A very scenic walk going a different way to my normal route. Staring from the Village Hall carpark there is a choice of route depending on the mud! Leave the village northwards either taking New Road past Rose Cottage Farm to join the road to Hovingham past the entrance to Moor House Farm OR follow the Centenary Way past Howthorpe Farm and AiryHolme to the road (this adds about an extra half mile).

From the road take the track and farm road towards Scackleton then continue past Scackleton Grange and the Great Plantation  to The City of Troy Maze.

After a lunch break continue past Dalby Church towards Whenby. Follow the farm road past Witherholme Hall and Dalby Carr to Terrington South Bank road. Now we are heading back to the village on the bridleway.

It is likely to be very muddy so poles will be useful. It is also quite hilly in places.
